Escape from the police ends in the forest - four young people arrested!

In the early morning hours of Monday, more precisely at 4:15 a.m., there was a remarkable incident in Fulda when a police patrol wanted to check a vehicle. However, the driver of the vehicle, a Range Rover, did not react as expected and tried to escape control. This incident led to a large -scale search in which even a police helicopter of the Hessian police was involved.

The persecution of the flight led the officials through the Gieseler Forst, where the vehicle finally turned into a forest path. At an unfortunate moment, the driver touched a tree and got stuck. In the subsequent confusion, the occupants left the car and fled into the surrounding forests on foot. However, the police were able to arrest four young people between the ages of 16 and 19 shortly afterwards.

background of the search

It turned out during the investigation that the stopped Range Rover was not lawfully traveling on the streets - the vehicle was only recently stolen from the courtyard of a residential building in Bahnhofstrasse in Lauterbach in the hours before the incident. The findings raise the question of the extent to which the four arrested are connected to the theft and who of them actually sat by them.

Although the Fulda police quickly initiated investigations and brought the four suspects to the police station, they were released after the police measures were completed due to lack of detention reasons or handed over to their beneficiaries. This raises questions about the legal proceedings that are to be applied to underage suspects.

The police ask the population for help: witnesses or persons who can provide information on the incident or theft of the vehicle are asked to contact the police headquarters in East Hesse on 0661/105-0. www.osthessen-zeitung.de .
