Alarming series of burglaries in the Harburg district! Between Friday, November 15th, 2024, and Sunday, November 17th, 2024, numerous break-ins shocked the region. People have to be more careful during this dark time of year - the police warn urgently about the uninvited guests who act at night. Suspicious observations should be reported immediately!

Massive wave of burglaries

In Seevetal-Fleestedt, an unoccupied single-family home was the target of unknown perpetrators between Wednesday and Friday. They cracked the rear patio door and escaped completely undetected. Crime was also active in Klecken on Friday: During a short absence of the residents between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the burglars took the opportunity and smuggled in via a levered-open patio door, looting both the ground floor and the upper floor apartment.

Friday was apparently a successful day for burglars: in Dohren they struck between 4:45 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. and got into a single-family home by breaking a bathroom window. Valuables were stolen. What a bold act! In addition, similarly brazen perpetrators in Holm-Seppensen were able to empty four houses in quick succession and make valuable loot in the process.

Burglaries in apartments

Late on Friday evening, a house burglary was recorded on Im Apfelgarten street in Neu Wulmstorf, in which the perpetrators stole a money box full of cash. But not just here: Unknown people also managed to attack two apartments in an apartment building in Maschen between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.!

Sunday didn't bring anything good: a single-family home on Rönneburger Straße in Meckelfeld was searched, and the previously empty holiday home in Elstorf-Bachheide was also scouted as loot. While these crimes are alarming citizens, the police were also informed about another incident: On November 17th, 2024, at night, a 30-year-old driver drove off the B3 under the influence of alcohol and had to be hospitalized - a blood test showed a blood alcohol level of 1.22!
