Funding for renewable energies: up to 18 billion euros in 2025!
Systems from 2024 can be supported retroactively until February 28, 2025. Information on how to apply is available on the Carinthia website.
Funding for renewable energies: up to 18 billion euros in 2025!
The promotion of photovoltaic systems in Carinthia is receiving new impetus! Until February 28, 2025, operators of systems completed in 2024 can still benefit from the previous year's funding rates: 480 euros per installed kilowatt peak (kWp) for PV systems and 350 euros per kilowatt hour (kWh) for electricity storage, reported Click Carinthia. This offers an attractive opportunity to strengthen the use of renewable energy in the country. It is important that applications are submitted via the official website of the State of Carinthia. Applications that have already been submitted in 2024 are excluded from being submitted again.
Growth of EEG funding in Germany
In neighboring Germany, EEG funding for renewable energies could rise to over 18 billion euros in 2025, which corresponds to an increase of almost one billion euros compared to 2023 PV navigation reported. This is part of a forecast that suggests installed capacity for electricity from renewable sources could rise to over 300 GW by the end of 2029 - a doubling compared to 2023. Given the growing demand for sustainable energy, this is a crucial step towards a greener future.
Not only will new systems be supported in the coming years, but the amount of electricity generated by these technologies could also grow to around 380 terawatt hours (TWh) by 2029. This underlines the importance of renewable energies for the future energy supply in Germany and ensures that new capacities are created despite the expiration of older subsidies.
