Erasmus adventure: Münster residents discover Bucharest and make new friends!

Muenster. Off to new adventures! 21-year-old Henning Stuckenschneider from Münster has been enjoying the exciting life in Bucharest, Romania, for a month. As a government inspector candidate at the Münster district government, he decided on a three-month Erasmus stay to discover new cultures and people. And the result? An unforgettable experience full of new friendships and exciting encounters!

“I am more than happy with my choice of Bucharest,” enthuses Henning. "The city is lively and the people are incredibly open-minded and helpful. It is a real enrichment to live in a foreign country with a different language and culture." His days are filled with exploring the old town, taking part in Erasmus events and doing sports with other students. "My day usually starts later because the lectures take place in the afternoon. Then it's off to the city or to a football game!"

Unforgettable Erasmus experiences

Henning is particularly enthusiastic about the diverse activities that the Erasmus program offers. "The 'Speed Friending' was a highlight - like speed dating, but for friendships! The boat tour over Lacul Herăstrău and a shared laser tag evening were also just great. Everyone finds something here, and friendships grow across national borders."

Henning encourages everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to do an Erasmus stay: "It's a unique opportunity to get to know a new country and lots of new people. I'm grateful for this experience, but I'm also looking forward to Christmas at home with my family." The Münster district government offers its students the opportunity to gain international experience, be it in cities like Milan, Merano or Vienna. The Erasmus program supports students financially to promote their mobility and broaden their horizons. An adventure not to be missed!
