Fraud exposed: Shaman swindles millions through manipulative rituals

In a shocking case, brutal fraud and mysterious circumstances draw the attention of the Lower Austria State Criminal Police Office. As the Crown newspaper reported, an 81-year-old woman was found dead in her home after her relatives expressed concern about her disappearance. The investigation revealed that the woman suffered fatal skull injuries, indicating a possible violent altercation.

At the same time, the LKA uncovered an extensive occult fraud case in which the self-proclaimed shaman Amela, 44, is the main suspect. According to the Small newspaper The woman is wanted on a European arrest warrant after she allegedly swindled over 730,000 euros from her victims. Cash, gold and valuable watches with a total value of over 6 million euros were seized from her apartment in Maria Enzersdorf. Her son, a 29-year-old man, is already in custody as he is being investigated on charges of complicity. The police discovered that Amela gave her victims visual illusions about the deaths of people close to her in order to extort large sums of money for alleged “rituals”.

The dimensions of fraud

The dimensions of this fraud case are alarming. So far, possible victims have been identified not only in Austria, but also in Germany and Switzerland. An investigator said that the LKA is concentrating on international networking in order to find more victims and catch the escaped Amela. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner described the acts as one of the largest fraud cases in the history of Lower Austria and warned that older people are often the target of these underhanded machinations. The police are asking for information about other victims and about the escape of the perpetrator, whose machinations were carried out in a secret room in a house.

Jewelry and other valuables are already on display on the state police headquarters' official website for identification by other victims. The actions of these fraudsters show how ruthlessly they exploit the trust and emotions of their victims. Detectives urge people to be skeptical of unrealistic promises and to communicate more closely with friends and family to prevent such crimes.
