On Thursday morning, exactly at 9:30 a.m., the unthinkable happened: A serious traffic accident between Aschenstedt and Neerstedt sent shockwaves through the area. In one car, a person was trapped in their vehicle and was unable to free themselves - a real nightmare on four wheels!
The Neerstedt fire department, supported by a command vehicle from the Dötlingen fire department, was quickly called to the accident. Together with the courageous rescue service and the police, they formed a first-class rescue community. The firefighters secured the vehicle under high pressure and prevented it from sliding into a nearby ditch. Teamwork par excellence! Finally, the emergency services managed to safely free the trapped person from the wreckage. She was then transported to the hospital for further medical care.
Intensive rescue efforts
The fire department left no stone unturned: After successfully rescuing the person, the vehicle battery was disconnected to eliminate further danger. Wildeshauser Straße had to be closed during the entire rescue effort - a real challenge for traffic! Around 45 firefighters were deployed to get this drama under control.
