Dätzingen: Building areas in a dilemma – Oberäcker remains in the normal procedure!
In a surprising turning point for the city of Grafenau, work continues on the new development areas! The development plans for the Döffingen areas are expected to be approved this year. In contrast, the local council in Dätzingen decided to transfer the Oberäcker development area to the normal procedure. “We don’t want to stop the process, we want to continue it,” emphasized Mayor Martin Thüringer resolutely.
Construction areas under pressure!
The original plan was to use the accelerated procedure in accordance with paragraph 13b for all three development areas. But the EU thwarted the plan! The newly introduced “repair paragraph” 215 could bring salvation, but a legally valid development plan must be available this year. This represents an immense challenge, especially for the Oberäcker area of Dätzingen, with an impressive 3.7 hectares. “We want to implement all three construction areas,” explained Bruno Metzger from the FWG, who emphasized the urgency, although reality shows that it is almost impossible to achieve this for Oberäcker by the end of the year.
The main problem? The search for ecological compensation areas! The associated interventions in nature make implementation considerably more difficult. “That is not feasible in this time,” says building authority manager Markus Buck. The only way out: carrying out the Oberäcker construction area using the normal procedure, which means that the process could take longer than the end of the year. “Sticking to 13b would endanger the entire project,” the Grafenau council agreed, while the pressure on those responsible is increasing!
