Additional pickup information

For citizens who cannot or do not want to compost their trees themselves, there are also several options for collection. This is carried out by the youth fire brigade in the districts of Geinsheim, Duttweiler and Mußbach as well as by the Christmas tree campaign of the regional church community in Lachen-Speyerdorf. Trees should be available for pickup no later than 9 a.m. on January 13th.

The collected trees are taken to a composting company in Mutterstadt, where they are recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. It is also possible to hand over the Christmas trees directly to the green waste collection point at the recycling center without booking an appointment. It is recommended to completely remove the Christmas tree decorations and to ensure that no waste is dumped at the collection points, as this is considered an administrative offense.
