Life savers wanted: Katretter app revolutionizes emergency help in Beeskow!
Beeskow. In critical moments, every second counts! In medical emergencies, such as sudden loss of consciousness, quick help can mean the difference between life and death. In order to optimize this life-saving effort, the innovative Katretter app was launched.
The Katretter app is aimed at courageous volunteer first aiders aged 18 and over who are ready to intervene in emergencies. After registering on the Oder-Spree rescue service website, these heroes will only be alerted in emergencies in which unconscious people may need to be resuscitated. The alert is sent at lightning speed via the app, which determines the location of the registered helpers and sends the nearest rescuer to the scene. In this way, the first crucial minutes until the emergency services arrive can be bridged with life-saving measures!
Katretter app in LOS is intended to improve emergency care
In order to further expand the Katretter initiative, the Oder-Spree rescue service is planning to specifically motivate members of the volunteer fire departments and disaster control to register. Healthcare professionals should also be approached in collaboration with regional hospitals. This app could make a decisive contribution to improving emergency care - an initiative that relies on the support of many volunteers to save lives!
