Big Daddy Wilson inspires with an emotional concert in Salzgitter-Bad!
A rousing concert by Big Daddy Wilson and his long-time musicians, the Goosebumbs Bros., took place in the Kniestedt Church in Salzgitter-Bad. On an evening that was all about blues, soul and funk, the almost 200 spectators experienced a musical journey through different styles. Big Daddy Wilson, who was born in Edenton, North Carolina in 1960 and has lived in Germany for over 30 years, presented not only classics, but also current songs from his new album “Plan B”, which was recorded together with his band. The musical performances ranged from gospel and rock to reggae and swing, like RockTimes reported.
The show began with the energetic song “I Hate”, impressively sung by guitarist Cesare Nolli. Wilson's deep soul voice didn't take long for the audience to clap and dance. Highlights included the ballad “Anna Mae,” which Wilson dedicated to his wife, and a rousing ten-minute “Texas Boogie.” Together with strong solo passages, the musical talents of the ensemble became clear here. A special tribute was given to the late Moritz 'Mr. Mo' Fuhrhop with the song "Crazy World," a gesture that was well received by the audience. The finale of the concert concluded with an emotional cover of the Beatles classic “This Boy,” which brought goosebumps.
