A scandal shakes the German economy! Terrifying investigations show that over 37 million liters of lubricating oil that was sold as a diesel fuel were in circulation-a tax fraud in the million-euro area! On Thursday, November 14th, 200, around 230 customs investigators from Munich searched 32 locations nationwide, including apartments and business premises.

The darkness of this criminal network is becoming increasingly obvious. Six arrest warrants were issued against alleged masterminds of a group that is suspected of having delivered tax -free lubricating oil from Eastern Europe. This was then deliberately declared as a taxable diesel fuel and sold to numerous consumers via its own tank truck, including petrol stations in the Hof and Vogtlandkreis. The focus is particularly on an Upper Franconian entrepreneur - his machinations could cost the state an incredible 18 million euros in energy taxes!

In the searches, the customs investigators secured a wealth of evidence: extensive business documents, cell phones, notebooks and even over 30,000 euros in cash! In addition, 15 tank vehicles, six trucks, six trailers and ten cars were confiscated, the value of which amounts to several hundred thousand euros!

A remarkable incident occurred during the raid: five Polish tank trucks, full of diesel fuel, were stopped shortly before the company site! A total of 150,000 liters were ready to ensure! In the air the thrill was felt when suspected that the freight documents could have already been manipulated.

While the top investigators of the customs and prosecutors work tirelessly on the detection of this network, the clarification of the complex case of tax evasion remains in full swing. "We and our partners stand for fair competition in Germany. We will not rest until all masterminds are caught," said Dr. Tino Igelmann, head of the customs criminal office in Cologne. The masterminds of this unscrupulous game could soon end up in the catch of the judiciary!
