The 28-year-old central defender Timo Baumgartl is leaving Schalke 04 and starting a new chapter in his career with St. Louis City SC in the USA. How ruhr24 reported, his contract with the club was terminated on August 29, 2024, and he will play in Major League Soccer (MLS) from January 1, 2025. Baumgartl looks back on a turbulent time in Gelsenkirchen, in which he only made twelve appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga.
