Weilheim projects receive funding of up to 55,555 euros!
Funding is bubbling up in the Weilheim-Schongau district! Through the coveted Leader program, up to 55,555.55 euros will flow into various projects that are intended to strengthen civic engagement. The Auerbergland-Pfaffenwinkel Local Action Group has taken responsibility for approving these funds. At the most recent meeting of the steering committee, led by Mayor Martin Höck from Raisting, exciting projects were presented that could shake up the region!
Projects that inspire!
The Raisting-Sölb local history and traditional costume association is planning an exciting book for the village's 1250th anniversary in 2026! The house names and their history will be highlighted here. A funding application was submitted for the production of house name signs, which has now been approved - 80 percent of the costs, up to 3500 euros, will be covered!
The TC Schongau, on the other hand, relies on youth! Through collaboration with schools, youth work is being expanded and commitment to paratennis is gaining momentum. To live up to the motto “Tennis for everyone!” To achieve this, a ball throwing machine will be purchased, which will be funded with around 2,000 euros.
Integration and memory
In Penzberg, the support association of the “Noah's Ark” family center can look forward to 80 percent of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of 4,000 euros. The project “ABC Course – Volunteering with a Net and a Double Bottom” aims to create opportunities for volunteers that help children with a migrant background in particular to integrate better.
Another highlight is the film project of the Weilheim initiative group “Against Forgetting – Passing On History”. Here the history of Weilheim between 1923 and 1953 is brought to life, including Jewish history. A film celebrating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War is being planned and students are actively involved. Funding was also applied for for professional support of the film work, which covers 80 percent of the net costs, up to 3280 euros!
