Grettstadt Advent window: A sea of ​​lights attracts hundreds!

In Grettstadt, the 2024 Advent windows thrilled people with a variety of events organized by a dedicated team from the horticultural association. Almost 30 events attracted numerous visitors, despite adverse weather conditions. What was particularly pleasing was that all districts took part in the activities, which created a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Over 100 participants enjoyed highlights such as musical performances, readings and social gatherings. The encounters were so warm that even well-known personalities and artists such as the author Hajo Lehr or “Elvis” Holger Kresse came to the community to attend the celebrations. Playground renovation uniquely solidarity!

In parallel to the festive activities, the local community also pitched in with the renovation of the playground at Bürgleinsee. Thanks to a grant from the regional budget of Integrated Rural Development (ILE), it was possible to bring the playground into shape. Members of the poultry farmers' association and committed citizens worked together to create a welcoming place for the children. The old sand was replaced with clean replacement, metal frames for new seating were installed and the area was tidied up.
