EC Pfaffenhofen celebrates its third home win: 4-1 against Schweinfurt!

EC Pfaffenhofen celebrated an impressive 4-1 home win against ERV Schweinfurt in the Ice Hockey Bavarian League on Sunday evening! After two previous victories, including an outstanding 7-0 against Klostersee, coach Stefan Teufel's team continued its winning streak. The foundation for this triumph was laid in the first third when Jan Tlacil and Jakub Vrana gave Pfaffenhofen the lead with two goals. Despite a goal from Schweinfurt in the final third, Tlacil made the final score with his second goal.

But not everything that glitters was gold! On Friday the ECP suffered a bitter 2:4 defeat in Schongau. Despite a dominant style of play in many phases, the Pfaffenhofeners were unable to score. The first third was a disaster, with the hosts taking a two-goal lead. Assistant coach Michael Pfab, who represented the absent coach Teufel, stated: “We didn’t start the game well and actually lost it in the first third.” The Schongauers took their chances coldly, while Pfaffenhofen had to struggle with bad luck and a controversial referee decision that prevented a regular goal.

Tension until the last second

The second half of the game saw a fighting ECP do everything they could to catch up. Robert Neubauer scored what was supposed to be a goal, but it was disallowed due to a questionable referee decision. Instead, it was David Felsöci who reduced the score to 3-2 in the 36th minute. But time was running out against the Pfaffenhofeners, and in the final minute Schongau's Dominic Krabbat made everything clear with a goal into the empty goal. “This is the home win and nobody knows why the Mammoths win here,” commented the live stream.

However, the ECP remains optimistic and will do everything it can to overcome the next challenge. Fans can look forward to more exciting games!
