US Army exercises in Hohenfels: Attention, residents! Blackhawk Alert!

American forces are back in action! From November 4th to 29th, 2023, a spectacular four-week maneuver will take place at the Hohenfels military training area in the Neumarkt district. The U.S. Army has been preparing for intensive combat exercises known as HFCA Landing Zone Training, A&D Sector. This involves an impressive 25 wheeled vehicles and 5 Blackhawk helicopters, which are in motion around the clock!

But that's not all! The exercises are not only carried out on military grounds. Helicopter landing training will also take place outside of military properties. Residents in Etzlwang, Ursensollen, Hirschau, Ensdorf, Freudenberg and Ebermannsdorf are asked to be particularly careful. The air will be filled with the roar of helicopters and the rumble of vehicles - a true spectacle for the eyes and ears of citizens!
