A shocking incident has shaken the Neumarkt region in the Upper Palatinate: A 48-year-old man was run over by a train on the railway tracks, and now three men are suspected of murder! The public prosecutor's office has filed charges against the three Lithuanians, aged 21, 25 and 32. They are said to have not only brutally abused the victim, but also left him unconscious on the tracks, where he was hit by a car transport train.
The gruesome crime took place in April, and investigations show that an argument between the victim and one of the suspects sparked the deadly altercation. The public prosecutor speaks of jointly committed murder. The Nuremberg-Fürth regional court will now decide whether there will be a trial. The three men have been in custody since their arrest while police search for further evidence.
Search and arrest
