Buchloer pirates get a big slap – Christmas is in danger!

The Buchloer Pirates suffered a bitter defeat at the weekend after losing 3-1 to Grafing on Friday. On Sunday there was an even more significant setback in the away game against TEV Miesbach: the result was devastating with 2:8 (0:2, 1:3, 1:3). The Pirates, who are in a relegation battle, can no longer even hope for tenth place as the gap has increased to a full eight points. This fourth defeat in a row leaves the fans in Gennachstadt facing a restless holiday season, as the Allgäuer Zeitung reports.

Home win for Miesbach

In the first period break, TEV Miesbach was already leading 2-0 after overcoming the Buchlo defense with a deflected shot and a perfect power play goal. Immediately after the break, Patrick Asselin made it 0:3, followed by another goal that robbed the Buchloern of all order. The hosts dominated the game and mercilessly exploited several errors in the Buchlo defense. At this point the defeat was already sealed and Miesbach proved to be the much stronger opponent.

In an outstanding performance, Miesbach gave their own fans an almost perfect home performance, while Buchloe sees themselves moving further down the table after the crushing defeat. The decisive factor for the victory was the high efficiency of the Miesbachers in the majority. Despite an interim goal from Alexander Krafczyk for the Pirates, the clear success for Miesbach remained. These results were also underlined by the TEV Miesbach club website, which is getting ready for the upcoming Christmas holidays and is also highlighting the achievements of its team, as well TEV Miesbach reported.
