Construction site on A96: traffic collapse in Eching is threatened until July 2025!

Attention, drivers! The A96 is becoming a construction site! From now until July 17, 2025, the traffic situation in Eching am Ammersee and Ausserbittlbach will be tense. The road construction work cannot be overlooked: drivers have to be prepared for slow traffic and the risk of traffic jams. Local signage will guide you, but be warned – patience is required!

Traffic chaos on the A96!

From today, November 4th, 2024, 7:16 p.m. to July 17th, 2025, 3:00 p.m., the A96 between Greifenberg and the Eching tunnel will be a test of nerves for all road users. The construction site extends over 500 meters and is causing a narrowing of the road. One lane is closed and traffic is directed across the oncoming lane. Commuters, vacationers and residents must expect traffic to be slow. The road construction work is part of a comprehensive renovation and widening of the roadway - a necessary evil, but one that brings with it inconvenience for everyone involved.

But that's not all! Things are also getting tight in Ausserbittlbach: from July 15, 2025, the A94 between Pastetten and Dorfen will be a construction site for several days. One lane will also be closed here and the work will extend over 4 kilometers. Motorists should prepare for additional delays. It is recommended to adjust your speed and drive with particular caution to ensure the safety of all road users.
