Kelheim will soon shine in Advent: the Bauhof team creates magical lights!
The anticipation of Advent in Kelheim is palpable! The city is transformed into a festive sea of lights, and the construction team is hard at work preparing everything in time. The men are working hard and in warm thermal clothing to transform the city center into a Christmas paradise.
Daniel Rummel and Manfred Westermeier, together with their colleagues, have been working tirelessly for two weeks decorating the large conifers and the small “ball trees” along the walkways with lights. An impressive 19 fairy lights are needed for the tree at the town hall! The city gates soon also shine in festive splendor, while the men go out to all parts of the village and to the forest cemetery to spread joy everywhere with decorated Christmas trees.
A ray of hope for the city
The preparations are in full swing, but the fairy lights are already shining during the construction work. Mayor Christian Schweiger emphasizes: “We won’t switch on the lights until December 1st.” From this date, Kelheim will become the “City of 1000 Christmas Trees”! And that's not all: the popular Christmas market takes place from December 6th to 15th, which perfectly rounds off the festive atmosphere. As temperatures drop, the Bauhof team remains optimistic and continues to work to brighten up the city for the upcoming celebrations.
