The new climbing hall, the FRANKENJURA ACADEMY in Forchheim, has finally officially opened. After a test phase with limited opening hours, climbing enthusiasts can now use the new facilities without restrictions. From October 20th to 23rd, all areas of the Academy will be open to visitors free of charge, which should attract many climbers and those who would like to become climbers.

The focus of the opening is the impressive new bouldering area. The ACADEMY has installed around 80 boulders of various levels of difficulty on an area of ​​500 square meters, built on a plot of 400 square meters. This diversity ensures that both beginners and experienced boulderers find suitable challenges. Even if the stars of the scene like Alex Megos and Chris Hanke train here, the academy is open and inviting to all climbing enthusiasts aged 14 and over.

Diverse training options

However, the sporting offerings at the FRANKENJURA ACADEMY are not just limited to bouldering. In addition to the new bouldering area, the climbing hall also includes a separate strength training area, additional training options specifically for climbing and a bistro where visitors can relax or fortify themselves.

With a total climbing area of ​​around 1,200 square meters, the hall offers a high level of possibilities: the maximum climbing height is an impressive 12 meters, and there are routes of various levels of difficulty, ranging from 4+ to 10+/11-. The offer appeals to a wide range of climbers and at the same time promotes training at a high level.

The exciting new facilities also come at a price. After the opening phase, regular admission to the FRANKENJURA ACADEMY will be 14 euros. Alternatively, athletes can take out a monthly subscription for 50 euros, which also allows access outside of regular opening hours - a flexible option for frequent climbers.
