An exciting weekend is ahead! On Sunday, November 17, 2024, there will be numerous events in the region that offer something for every taste. From colorful flea markets to exciting exhibitions to thrilling concerts – there is something for everyone here!
Flea markets and markets
In Albertshofen there will be a children's second-hand market on the Lohwiese from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Here parents can buy everything they need for their child and fortify themselves with coffee and cake. In Ochsenfurt, a children's clothing market will be held at the Best Western Hotel from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., where the little ones will get their money's worth in fashion. And in Würzburg, the Kürnachtalhalle opens its doors from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the 86th coin, banknote and postcard exchange. This trade fair attracts collectors from near and far who are looking for rarities. Around 600 visitors and 60 dealers are expected, offering everything from ancient coins to modern collectibles.
For lovers of reptiles and other exotic animals, the Terratopia XXL in Würzburg is an absolute must. On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can admire over 200 live reptiles, amphibians and spiders. Brave guests have the opportunity to get up close and personal with crocodiles and snakes during live shows. Entry costs 10 euros for adults and 8 euros for children.
Music and concerts
Music lovers will also get their money's worth! In the Würzburg University Library the question “Is Elvis alive?” answered with a spectacular rock 'n roll show. Duke Elvis performs on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and delights the audience with his hits. Admission is free and there will be an opportunity to get autographs after the show. There will also be a church concert by the JBO Volkach in St. Bartholomew in Volkach at 4 p.m., which will feature a varied program.
The Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg invites you to the premiere matinee of “Fairy Tale in the Grand Hôtel”, where insights into the new production will be provided. Entry is also free. An exciting weekend full of entertainment and culture awaits visitors - so let's go!
