Passau forklift team defends runner-up title in the exciting Forklift Cup!

The ZF forklift team from Passau has once again caused a stir! The team achieved an impressive second place at the exciting world championships in forklift driving in the Linde-MH-Arena in Aschaffenburg. In a thrilling competition in which thirteen German industrial companies competed against each other, more than 17,000 spectators followed the exciting scenes on site and online. The team, consisting of Alexander Liebl, Florian Herbert, Daniel Pauli and Jürgen Pietsch, fought until the last second and successfully defended their runner-up title from the previous year.

The challenge was enormous! In the Corporate Cup, the four drivers had to master a tricky skill course with an electric forklift and a hand-held lifting device. Skill and precision were required as they transported various elements through the course and finally assembled them into a tower. After a strong performance in the preliminary round and the semi-finals, the ZF team was even in the lead in the final - until the accident happened!

The dramatic fall!

When crossing the last obstacle, the unimaginable happened: the tower of exercise balls balanced on the fork of the forklift tipped over and fell to the ground! A bitter setback that cost the team from Passau their victory. Despite this disappointment, the mood remains positive. "We have achieved our goal of defending the runner-up title. Next year we will attack again!" said Jürgen Pietsch, who coordinated participation in the Forklift Cup. So the hope for the title remains alive - and the anticipation for next year is growing!
