Mega-new building area Killberg IV: Hechingen creates new living space for 1300 people!

In Hechingen, the new Killberg IV development area takes shape and opens up new perspectives for up to 1300 people. With an area of 13.2 hectares, it is the largest of its kind in the Zollernalbkreis. Mayor Philipp Hahn recently celebrated the completion of the development work and emphasized that 40 percent of the planned 624 residential units are already sold or reserved. It is particularly gratifying that 30 out of 38 building sites for single -family houses have already been recorded, which underlines the great interest in this project, such as Schwaebische.de reported.

The Killberg IV is more than just a new development area - it becomes an independent district that relies on an innovative energy concept. Stadtwerke invested over 24 million euros in the infrastructure, including almost CO₂-free local heating. Funds of 6.75 million euros were recently transferred from the federal government, which secured the financing of the modern heating network. This not only guaranteed a sustainable energy supply, but also offered an excellent sales option for the land, such as specialthemen.swp.de

The construction work was completed in just 18 months, which is considered a large performance in the industry. Mayor Hahn emphasizes the high quality of the project, which not only offers living space, but also leisure activities such as playgrounds and public places. The planning and execution are described as exemplary and offer Hechingen a significant progress in urban development.
