There was a serious traffic accident in Villingen-Schwenningen, which seriously injured a 13-year-old girl and two other teenagers. The 13-year-old was thrown from the vehicle as a result of the collision. A helicopter immediately transported them to a hospital, while the 19-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger were trapped in the vehicle. They had to be freed by the fire department and were also taken to the hospital. According to initial investigations, the 19-year-old driver was apparently traveling too fast. In a left-hand bend he lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned onto a grass verge. According to police, the roof of the vehicle hit a pipe post of a large traffic sign before coming to rest on its roof. The dangerous weather conditions probably played a significant role in this terrible incident.
What is particularly tragic about this accident is not only the severity of the young people's injuries, but also the uncertainty about their actual relationships with one another. The investigators have not yet been able to clarify whether the three people who died in the accident are siblings or friends, which makes the situation even more emotionally charged.
