Lake Constance Christmas: Festive opening on November 29th at Buchhornplatz!

A magical experience at Lake Constance awaits visitors! On Friday, November 29th, at 6 p.m., the Lake Constance Christmas will be ceremoniously opened on Buchhornplatz. For 24 days, the square is transformed into a winter wonderland, open Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and be pampered with international delicacies, festive decorations and gift ideas by 79 market traders in 51 huts.

The Christmas market extends across the entire Buchhornplatz and Romanshorner Platz, where snack and mulled wine stands, sweet treats and handicraft items invite you to linger. A highlight is the large nativity scene, which has been an integral part of the market for almost three decades and delights both young and old guests. For the children there is a children's carousel, the popular train and numerous creative activities such as reading and craft lessons.

Special attractions and program

A majestic 8 meter high Christmas tree with 200 red baubles and 4,800 lights will illuminate the market grounds, while the 13 meter high Christmas pyramid welcomes guests from near and far. The stage program promises a colorful spectacle with 29 program items from local choirs, dance schools and music groups. Highlights are the performances by the Häfler school band “Radioactive Honey” and Santa Claus, who comes with the sea hare fanfare on December 6th.

The curling rink on Romanshorner Platz opens on November 18th and is already in high demand. Groups and school classes have the opportunity to book the lanes for exciting competitions. Mayor Dieter Stauber cordially invites everyone to enjoy the festive atmosphere and meet up with friends and family.
