Esslingen citizens happy: 80 percent feel comfortable in their city!

A current survey by the Esslingen am Neckar city administration shows that citizens are very satisfied with their living environment. According to the results, 80 percent of Esslingers like living in their city. The satisfaction among the older generation is particularly noteworthy: 89 percent of those over 70 expressed themselves positively about their hometown. In contrast, satisfaction among 16 to 29 year olds is only 73 percent.

5,000 randomly selected people from Esslingen were contacted for the survey, with 41 percent, around 2,500 people, responding to the questionnaire. This high level of participation shows the connection between Esslingen and their city. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the younger age groups are underrepresented, while the age group between 50 and 70 years is disproportionately represented. The data was collected between April and May 2024 and presented at the last council meeting of 2024.
