Small but mighty: Suzuki Swift impresses with modern features!
The new Suzuki Swift brings a breath of fresh air to the small car class! The latest fifth-generation model was tested in Los Angeles and is causing a stir with its modern design and practical features. With a length of 3.86 meters, the Swift remains true to the classic small car format and still offers a surprising amount of space in the interior. Two adults can even sit comfortably in the back seat, while the 265 liter trunk is sufficient for shopping. If more space is needed, the rear seats can be folded down almost completely, creating almost a cubic meter of storage space, which is not enough for a short vacation, but is at least pleasant, like that crown reported.
Under the hood of the Swift is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that is equipped with mild hybrid technologies and produces a total of 82 hp. Although the engine performance doesn't seem particularly sporty, the Swift impresses with a dynamic driving experience and a real consumption of around five liters per 100 km. The high-quality interior design is particularly pleasing: analogue fittings and a 9-inch touchscreen promise not only good usability, but also contemporary technology. The Suzuki Swift can now also be ordered with all-wheel drive, which is unique in its class. The basic price starts at 17,490 euros, and the model is already extensively equipped, according to the Euro NCAP.
The Swift could be the ideal companion through the winter, especially since an automatic transmission is also available. However, the question remains why there is no turbo version that could make the driving experience even sportier. Despite a few small points of criticism, the new Suzuki will certainly delight many small car enthusiasts with its successful overall package and could be considered the favorite in its class.
