Gurkerl starts fundraising campaign: opportunities for children in crisis areas!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - In March 2025, the online supermarket Gurkerl starts an important fundraising campaign entitled "Give opportunities" to support the educational projects of Caritas Austria. This initiative focuses on children in war and crisis areas and is a crucial part of Caritas's current children's campaign, which aims at awareness of children's rights and access to education. According to ots.at from now on until March 31, 2025 directly via the web shop or the Gurkerl app. The amounts range from 5 to 50 euros, and each donation is 100 % forwarded to Caritas to enable children in need.
The Gurkerl campaign is building initiative on the already successful “Caritas School bread” initiative, which has been supported since October 2024. With a clear mission, Gurker not only serves customers with appealing organic products, but also enables them to have a positive impact on the life of needy children. 251 million children are affected by school exclusion annually, and Caritas has already supported 156,000 children and adolescents in 2023.

The event for the opening of the cucumber glass campaign took place in Vienna and aims to motivate people to participate: whether in the office, at home or meeting friends-every cent counts! The innovative "cucumber glass challenge" on social media also enables donations to promote donations by uploading their own videos.
