Schlüchtern mourns: entrepreneur Andreas Roßmar died at the age of 38

Andreas Roßmar, the 38-year-old managing director of the Vomberg company from Schlüchtern, is dead. According to a family press release, he took his own life. Roßmar leaves behind his wife Stephanie and their four children. After his death, Stephanie Roßmar will take over the management of the family business, while Gerhard Wiegand will also be appointed managing director.

The company, which specializes in supplying the wood and plastic processing trades, is planning to build a new company building on Kurfürstenstrasse “Am Reitstück” in Schlüchtern. The opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025 and work is already in full swing fuldainfo.de reported.

The mayors Christopher Gärtner from Flieden and Manfred Helfrich from Poppenhausen expressed their sympathy and appreciated Roßmar's entrepreneurial vision. Roßmar's commitment to modernizing the Leo Bub furniture workshop was particularly highlighted. Mayor Gärtner emphasized the importance of Roßmar's entrepreneurial activities and his vision for the region.

The new company building will be built on a 9,000 square meter part of a 30,000 square meter site that Vomberg acquired in the Schlüchtern industrial park in 2017. The new building has an investment volume of 12 million euros and is being implemented under the technical management of Mäx GmbH from Schweinfurt, which specializes in photovoltaics and automation.

The planning has been going on for over three years, with Roßmar being actively involved in discussions with the Schlüchtern magistrate and the Flieden mayor Christian Henkel. The aim of the new building is to create better working conditions as well as modern social and break rooms while at the same time expanding the space for a variety of items and optimized process flows.
