Sustainable living in Mödling: New residential project sets standards!
In the heart of Mödling, an impressive handover of the keys for a new residential project realized by Wiener Stadtwerke was celebrated at the beginning of March 2025. Three modern residential buildings with a total of 16 free condominiums were built on a former Wiener Netze site. This project stands out for its environmentally friendly construction and has been awarded Gold according to the strict Greenpass criteria. This certification, like the APA OTS reports, reinforces the commitment to sustainable construction and shows that high living comfort and environmental protection can go hand in hand.
Innovative infrastructure measures for the region
In parallel to this residential building, a significant infrastructure project was also presented that is intended to improve regional transport capacities. The four-track expansion of the southern line between Vienna Meidling and Mödling, with a length of around 14 kilometers, is a central project. This includes not only the adaptation of existing train stations and stops, but also the construction of new stations such as “Wien Benyastraße” and “Brunn Europaring”. These measures, like that Group planning, will significantly improve the region's accessibility and make local transport more attractive.
The importance of the residential project and the associated infrastructure measures should not be underestimated: they not only offer modern living space, but also promote the quality of life in the surrounding area. This was particularly taken into account during the planning, including through generous green spaces and architecture that is harmoniously integrated into the cityscape.
