Shock moment in Velodrom: Cycling world trembles to horror crash!
A dramatic accident at the Bahnrad Champions League in the London Velodrom Lee Valley Velopark has startled the cycling scene. The German sprinter Alessa-Catriona Pröpster and the British Olympic champion Katy Marchant were involved in a horror crash in the Keirin competition and flew into the audience over the plexiglass gang. The event was canceled immediately after the two athletes plunged into the crowd at high speed. Fortunately, after medical treatment, Pröpster was able to leave Velodrom independently, while Marchant was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where fractures were diagnosed with the Elle and Speichen and two fingers, such as the FAZ reported.

This safety precaution was only installed at the Commonwealth Games 2022 after an earlier incident, in which a viewer was seriously injured. Also during the current competition, four spectators had to be treated medically, as reported. Pröpster's coach Frank Ziegler made a relieved manner about the condition of his student and said: "It was a horror crash. Nothing is broken. She was certainly in shock, but luckily everything is fine."
