Deutsche Bahn is launching a major campaign in Hamburg to recruit new employees. Under the title “Winterexpress@DB Hamburg”, those interested can get tips directly on the recruiting train at the train station on Wednesday, December 11th. The train will be at Harburg-Rathaus station from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and at Berliner Tor from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Deutsche Bahn is looking, among other things, for locomotive drivers, track construction trainees and planning engineers in order to increase its goals such as punctuality and reliability. The railway has already hired more than 3,400 new employees throughout northern Germany Radio Hamburg reported.

At the same time, Hamburg Central Station, one of the busiest train stations in Germany, is being criticized and has been named the dirtiest train station in the country. During an inspection in October, the Prellbock Altona initiative documented significant deficiencies, including garbage, pigeon droppings and broken infrastructure.
