Two people were injured in a serious traffic accident on Autobahn 30 near Herford. According to police, this incident occurred when a 47-year-old truck driver unexpectedly moved into the fast lane after a breakdown. The driver had stopped his truck on the shoulder due to a technical defect, but when he started driving again he overlooked an approaching car. This resulted in a violent collision with the occupants of the car, a 66-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, both of whom were seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital.
