Actor Rupert Everett only had a small role in the popular series “Emily in Paris,” but now he has no part in the production at all. Everett, who starred in an episode of the hit series as the director of interior design firm Giorgio Barbieri, announced he has exited the show at the Marateale International Film Festival in Maratea, Italy. Loud Vanity Fair he was released this week.
The reasons for his dismissal
"I got fired. I did a scene this season and they told me, 'We'll talk next year.'" Everett waited for someone to call him - but the call never came and he ended up just fired. "Show business is always very difficult, from start to finish. When they write the script, they think they want you - but then everything changes and your character is lost. I don't know why that is," he further explained.
Emotional impact
Everett added: "It was a tragedy for me. I was in bed for two weeks because I couldn't get over it." Despite his dismissal, the popular actor is not lacking work.
