New master plan for Sonthofen: the city center should become more attractive!
In Sonthofen, a comprehensive master plan for the new city center management is being implemented in order to make the city center more attractive. Despite challenges and delays caused by structural requirements and time pressure, there is positive progress. The initial measures were not successful everywhere, but the city administration, under the leadership of economic developer Andreas Maier and Dr. Stefan Holl from the Society for Market and Sales Research (GMA) will continue the projects. In particular, the range of bicycle parking facilities and street furniture should be expanded in order to increase the quality of life in the city center. This was also stated in a recent report by Mercury picked up.
Planned measures and financing
Numerous projects are being planned for the next steps, including the creation of a tourist circuit and a co-working café for flexible workplaces. According to estimates, the total costs for these measures amount to around 300,000 euros. A funding application is already being submitted to the Swabian government; if this is approved, the city could only cover 120,000 euros itself; The rest is covered by federal and state funds. The idea behind the master plan is to sustainably develop the city center as a place for business, trade and work in order to do justice to all population groups, as documented in the master plan Taylor Wessing describes.
