New course in the Freistadt deanery: management positions filled!
FREECITY. As part of the diocesan parish structural reform, the Freistadt deanery ushered in significant changes. . The new management positions in November and December 2024 resulted in the appointment of Klemens Hofmann as pastor, Wolfgang Roth as pastoral director and Markus Woda as administrative director. These decisions were made during special hearings and assessments. Klemens Hofmann, 57 years old and previously a pastor in Neumarkt im Mühlkreis, is now also taking over the management of the deanery's business. MyDistrict.at reports that Hofmann has also held the position of parish provisionalist for Gutau and Kefermarkt since 2023.
New faces in pastoral care
Wolfgang Roth, who lives with his family in Freistadt and has been working as a pastoral assistant for a decade, will now lead the pastoral board's tasks. Markus Woda, 38 years old and parish administrator in the communities of Freistadt and Windhaag, complements the management team. These personnel changes are part of a broader plan to strengthen pastoral work in the region and ensure effective administration.
