Escape from Iran: This is how Seyedsajad Mortazavian becomes a top trainee!
In an inspiring twist, Seyedsajad Mortazavian, an Iranian refugee, has written an impressive success story in Germany. The 33-year-old mastered his three and a half year training as a foundry mechanic at Siempelkamp Giesserei GmbH with flying colors and is now one of the best trainees in Germany. A few days ago he took part in the DIHK's national best award ceremony in Berlin, where he was honored together with other honorees for his outstanding achievements, such as Lokalklick.eu reported.
Having started his training in the morning full of motivation, Mortazavian fled Iran three and a half years ago without any knowledge of German. His engineering degree was not recognized in Germany, so he took the plunge into a new profession. He received support from his wife, who was already studying in Germany, and many colleagues who accompanied him during his training. At the award ceremony he made it clear that he wanted to encourage other refugees: “Even if the language isn’t that good at first, you can be successful!” Training manager Eugen Müller praised Mortazavian's learning ability and social skills, which he achieved despite language barriers. The IHK sees its history as a prime example of successful integration through vocational training.
A clear message to all companies
IHK managing director Daniela Perner emphasized that successful integration can be achieved through training and employment. The İHK has initiated various projects to support companies that want to support refugees in their training companies. This could also be a valuable opportunity to secure skilled workers. In addition to Mortazavian, a total of 207 trainees were honored at the national award ceremony, who prevailed among almost 250,000 examinees - a clear sign that talent and commitment are not tied to origin or language.
In the broader debate about integration, Löffler's academic work, such as deGruyter reported, provided alarming insights. The need to more clearly discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with cultural diversity in Germany is undeniable. Mortazavi is not only a role model for other refugees, but also living proof that integration succeeds when the right support network is in place.
