Innsbruck celebrates sporting event: Digital app for the 2025 finals!
The important multisport event “Sport Austria Finals powered by Austrian Lotteries” will take place in Innsbruck and Tyrol from June 18th to 22nd, 2025. On the occasion of the event's five-year anniversary, Innsbruck will become the hotspot for top local sport after three years in Graz. The event attracts around 6,000 athletes who compete for medals in over 25 sports.
The event includes around 200 medal decisions over four days of competition. A grand opening ceremony as well as joint award ceremonies and a supporting program that integrates cultural and sporting highlights are also planned. A sports facility plan is developed in advance to create the best conditions for the competitions.
Digital innovations for sports enthusiasts
A highlight of the Sport Austria Finals 2025 will be the newly developed Sport Austria Finals app. This is available free of charge for Android and iOS and offers comprehensive information on competitions, locations and start times. Users can access links to live streams and use an interactive event map with a route planner.
In addition, app users have the opportunity to take part in a scavenger hunt, for which QR codes are placed at various sports venues. Exclusive offers and discount codes create additional incentives for using the app. The goal of this digital initiative is to bring participants and visitors closer to the event and provide information in real time.
A look at the sports
In total, the Sport Austria Finals will include more than 25 sports, including climbing, cheerleading, disabled sports, biking and swimming. What is particularly noteworthy is that climbing will be part of the finals for the first time in 2024, which underlines the versatility of the event. Deputy Governor Georg Dornauer highlights Tyrol's role as the number one sports country and emphasizes the importance of such events to promote athletes and raise awareness for sport in the region.
The dates have been set: The Sport Austria Finals 2024 will take place from May 29th to June 2nd, while the 2025 event will continue the sports history in Innsbruck with the dates mentioned above. It remains to be seen how the magical atmosphere of these sports will unfold.
