The small, twin-engine King Air plane took off from Campo de Marte Airport on Friday morning, but the tower lost contact with the plane shortly before the crash.
Victims and rescue efforts
According to military police, two passengers on the plane died from burns while six others were injured. Emergency fire services were able to rescue five people, military police Lieutenant Jefferson de Souza told CNN Brasil.
