Discover future professions: Students experience diversity on Weißensee!

Weißensee, Österreich - On March 13, 2025, a fascinating project day took place on Weißensee, which offered students from the MS Greifenburg to explore first -hand professions. Under the title "Street of Professions", 41 companies from various industries, including public administration, tourism, craft and medical services, presented their fields of activity in an interactive way. At five stations, the students were able to try out various actions that were typical of the respective professions, and also enjoyed a joint buffet that was prepared under the guidance of local star chefs. The students and their teachers were enthusiastic about the insights into the diverse career prospects that the region has to offer.

Future -oriented professional exploration

In parallel to this event, another important project day for students of the 9th grade is taken in preparation, which is due to take place on November 4, 2025. According to the information from the Erfurt Cross initiative, this day will enable the students to deal intensively with apprenticeships and academic careers. Here, the students should acquire specific knowledge of the requirements of certain professions and at the same time take the opportunity to gain practical experience. The focus is on active participation and direct exchange with company representatives on site.

The students will be given the opportunity to visit up to two companies on the project day, and a structured program is offered that includes workshops and discussion rounds. It is important that the students do not have to complete regular lessons, which gives them more freedom for career orientation.
