UFO emergency landing in Schiltern: Aliens on an exploration tour!

An unexpected and fascinating event happened in Schiltern near Langenlois. An eerie flying object was forced to land on the slopes of the Vienna Woods after a beam of blue laser light was shot into space from the nearby Leopold Figl Observatory on the Mitterschöpfl, as meinbezirk.at reported. There was great excitement when alleged aliens entered the scene and caused a lot of astonishment and police operations on a federal highway. Experts assured that the newcomers had peaceful intentions and this will certainly not be the last such visit.

But all the excitement had a special background: the dramatic emergency landing took place in the newly opened Schiltern model railway world, which was ceremoniously inaugurated on December 4, 2024. This extraordinary facility not only presents precise replicas of Austrian landscapes on a scale of 1:87, but also allows visitors to intervene using action buttons and control events such as the landing of the aliens. As the model railway world itself describes on its website, it is a year-round family excursion destination that delights children and adults alike, with hundreds of trains and spectacular landscapes that are realistically recreated.

An experience for the whole family

Reinhard Kittenberger, a supporter of the model railway world, was proud to be able to present this new section of the layout. Important personalities were also present at the opening, such as the head of the observatory, Professor Dr. Werner Zeilinger as well as the mayor and MPs were present. Together they experienced the unforgettable attractions that the model railway world has to offer, including the impressive simulations of day and night that bring the scenery to life. After the event, visitors were treated to regional food and wine.

The Schiltern model railway world not only offers a showcase of the Austrian landscape, but also an interactive experience that stimulates the imagination. From the surprise of the supposed aliens to the joy of the new attractions - there is something for everyone here, and the excitement is sure to last for a long time, as does the anticipation of future visits from exotic guests.
