The 12th World Governments Summit (WGS) will take place in Dubai from February 11 to 13, 2025, bringing together the world's leading heads of state and government, over 400 ministers and more than 6,000 participants. This is the largest meeting in the history of the WGS, with attendance up over 50 percent compared to last year economymiddleeast.com reported. Every continent is represented, and the agenda includes more than 200 interactive sessions across 21 forums, tackling topics such as artificial intelligence in governance, climate change and global health challenges.
Global strategy and collaboration
The summit, which is considered a platform for future-oriented thinking, has set itself the goal of developing long-term solutions for the challenges of tomorrow through cooperation and innovation promotion. “The WGS has achieved its prominent status through a unique and forward-looking vision,” stated H.E. Mohammad Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, during a dialogue at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. The summit's six key themes include effective governance, financing the future, climate adaptation and the role of technology and artificial intelligence in public administration. Over 30 strategic reports will be released as part of the summit to help governments around the world achieve sustainable development goals. These reports are a result of extensive collaboration with international knowledge partners and are intended to provide a clear roadmap for the future.
