PSG wins dramatically against Monaco – lead extended!

In the exciting Ligue 1 duel between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and AS Monaco, the league leaders prevailed 4-2 on Sunday. PSG started strongly and scored 1-0 through Doue in the 24th minute. But after a strong performance from the hosts in the second half, Monaco took the lead when Seghir scored a penalty and Embolo made it 2-1 in the 60th minute. The hosts' joy didn't last long, however, as Dembele quickly scored to make it 2-2 for PSG. With a goal from Goncalo Ramos in the 83rd minute and Dembele, who increased the score to 4-2 in stoppage time, PSG secured the important victory. The defeat was particularly bitter for Monaco, as coach Adi Hütter had to leave the coaching tent because of a red card ( LAOLA1 reported ).

At the same time, Marseille suffered a fiasco against PSG in their first Clasico of the season. The visitors PSG ended the first half with a 3-0 lead after Marseille were severely weakened by a red card for Amine Harit in the 20th minute. While PSG's Joao Neves scored the early goal and Leonardo Balerdi's captaincy errors influenced the game to Marseille's disadvantage, the home fans had to head home disappointed before half-time after their team's poor performance. Coach Roberto De Zerbi expressed his disappointment with his team's performance and stated that they lacked the "personality and courage" required. PSG thus consolidated its position at the top of the table and extended its lead to ten points over Marseille ( BeSoccer reported ).
