Hinteregger sounds the alarm: Young players lack the will to win!”
In the exciting Bundesliga duel between LASK and Austria Klagenfurt, LASK turned the game around and won 2-1 despite an early deficit. It started promisingly for the hosts when Solomon Bonnah hit the goal with a high cross after just three minutes, which was surprised by LASK goalkeeper Tobias Lawal. But Linz didn't let the deficit discourage them and quickly took control of the game. Just eleven minutes later, Valon Berisha equalized with a precise shot from 18 meters oe24 reported.
The visitors remained dominant after this turnaround and scored the decisive goal in the 61st minute through Maximilian Entrup after Samuel Adeniran provided crucial preliminary work. LASK has now survived all 23 competitive games against Klagenfurt undefeated and remains on course towards the championship group. This defeat not only costs the Klagenfurt team valuable points, but also the hope of a better season finale crown determines. Martin Hinteregger highlighted the discrepancy in will and fighting spirit in the team and called for more commitment from the younger players: “It can’t be that only we old people run and march and some young people don’t.”
With these three points, LASK consolidated its position in the top third of the table and is optimistic going into the last two rounds before the championship group division. The Klagenfurt team remains in ninth place, a meager six points above bottom-placed Altach. The next challenge awaits and the pressure is growing - especially for Peter Pacult's players, who now have to rethink their strategy to avoid falling further behind.
