The animal protection award 2025 honors committed people and groups who fight tirelessly for the well -being of the animals. The award ceremony is planned for October 2, 2025. "We want to create a platform to appreciate the outstanding performance in animal welfare and to stimulate imitation," said Rosenkranz. The Krone will take over the jury again and thus focus on outstanding commitment in animal welfare.

In order to be successful, the projects submitted must meet special criteria, including exemplary effect, innovativity and sustainability. The initiatives should not be older than two years, have been fully implemented and have already shown effect. The animal protection award also provides that the award winners present their projects in a yearbook published by the country - an additional incentive for the submissions.
