On New Year's Eve, unknown vandals struck in Höchst and left a chaos of destruction in their wake. In several places, including on Lettenstrasse at the Neufeld intersection and at the Alte Schule bus stop, two trash cans and two garbage disposal stations were demolished with brutal force and pyrotechnic objects. This cowardly act resulted in property damage estimated at a low four-digit amount, as well as both VOL.AT as well as that Vorarlberg police report.
Vandalism with consequences
The Höchst police have to carry out intensive investigations and are calling on the public to help. Witnesses who may have made observations or who can provide information about the perpetrators are asked to call +43 (0) 59 133 8127. The irresponsible use of pyrotechnics and physical violence raises questions about community safety and concerns among residents.
