Unknown hotel burglar in Bodman-Ludwigshafen on the run

A brazen burglar targeted two hotels in Bodman-Ludwigshafen at the weekend. On the night of December 15th, between 1:00 and 1:30 a.m., the perpetrator forcibly gained access to the Hotel Rosmarin on Überlinger Strasse. There he searched all the cupboards and drawers in the reception area and stole a safe that was torn out of the wall. Despite his intensive search in the hotel restaurant, the burglar was left without any further loot the southern courier reported.

After the first break-in, the unknown man broke into the Seehotel Adler. He got inside around 1:30 a.m. by prying open the office door and searching through several cabinets and drawers. However, according to initial police reports, nothing was stolen. The burglar mysteriously left the hotel through a door to the railway line. The following day, passers-by found the stolen safe and coins at the pedestrian crossing near the lido. The perpetrator is described as around 30 to 40 years old, around 1.80 meters tall and stocky. He is said to have a full beard and was dressed in a black hooded jacket, olive cargo pants, black shoes and gloves. The police are urgently looking for witnesses who saw anything suspicious in the area around the hotels that night.
