Emergency services from the Fünfhaus city police command arrived and found the woman with visible injuries to her face, whereupon she was immediately taken to a hospital by the Vienna professional rescue service.
The suspect was arrested and given a no entry or approach ban, which prohibits him from getting near the woman. He was also temporarily banned from using weapons.
