Shock in the snow: German has a serious accident on a closed slope!

A tragic incident occurred on February 8, 2025 on the Hochwurzen. A group of men, including a 41-year-old German, left a ski hut around 9:30 p.m. During the descent, a toboggan suddenly started moving on its own. This incident led to a dramatic accident when the German tried to stop the out-of-control toboggan. He crashed into a 40 centimeter high embankment on a slope that was closed to tobogganing. An alert ski tourer heard the collision, stopped and administered first aid while making an emergency call. The 41-year-old was ultimately flown to a hospital in Salzburg with life-threatening injuries, and the police have already started investigating the accident ORF reported.
